My name is Raffaello Pagani. I was born in Bergamo and have been practicing as a medical doctor and specialist in vascular surgery for over 40 years. I currently work at the NovaMed Center in Sanremo, where I focus on advanced vascular diagnostics and the treatment of Chronic Cerebrospinal Venous Insufficiency (CCSVI), with particular attention also to venous disorders of the lower limbs.
Throughout my career, I have collaborated with numerous private and public healthcare facilities across Italy, always maintaining an evidence-based approach, a commitment to continuous learning, and a strong focus on personalized diagnosis and treatment for each patient.
Experience and Training
After earning my Medical Degree with honors (110/110 cum laude) from the University of Genoa, I completed my specialization in Vascular Surgery at the University of Pavia. I pursued further international training in Barcelona, Paris, and Strasbourg, working alongside renowned experts such as Prof. Martorell, Prof. Franceschi, and Dr. Stemmer.
Over the years, I have participated in numerous national and international conferences, including the World Congress of Phlebology (UIP) in Monte Carlo and events organized by the Italian Society of Phlebo-Lymphology (SIFCS), where I also served as Vice President for the North-West Section.
A Commitment to Comprehensive Vascular Diagnosis
In recent years, I have devoted much of my work to the study and diagnosis of CCSVI, a vascular condition that can impact neurological, ophthalmic, and ENT disorders. I have published articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals in collaboration with fellow researchers across Italy and Europe, and I have been part of the team that explored the connection between CCSVI and conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, Menière’s Syndrome, and other related disorders.
